NY Regional Activities for Practitioners and Trainees was updated June 7, 2008.

NY Region sponsored activities:

• Low Fee Clinic: If you want to hone your FI skills, this is an opportunity to practice and get feedback from highly experienced colleagues. Contact Karen Donelson or Kira Charles

• Check out the Calendars for Public Workshops and Advanced Trainings! If you want to add a public or professional workshop to the website send an email to containing the Name of workshop, dates and times, location address, who is teaching the workshop, the fee, and a brief description.

• NEW YORK REGION ALEXANDER YANAI STUDY GROUP will meet June 29, 2008 to end its 4th season. 

    Anne-Elizabeth Straub will be teaching the AY ATM. The group meets once a month on a Sunday afternoon in Park Slope Brooklyn, NY from 4-6:30PM. The choice of AY ATM themes this year is "INTEGRATING THE STUDENT INTO THE LESSON ACTIVELY." So we will choose lessons that the Prac cannot do-and or chooses not to do- at the same time, so that the student will be more participatory. We will also pay special attention to "PATTERNS OF MOVEMENT DURING THE PROCESS". The group has been doing an AY ATM and in a group process turning it into FI. The teachers come from the community. • Save the Date: July 13, 2008 NY Region PDG: Tango and Feldenkrais® Workshop for NY REGION MEMBERS WILL BE GIVEN BY JEAN FUNG in advance of the workshop in Denver. Details on where and the time will be forthcoming. The Professional Development Group (PDG) gives members an opportunity to present their workshops to peers. this one is guaranteed to be a lot of fun.

• NY Region Annual Meeting and special Workshop with Robbie Ofir, GCFT was held on Saturday May 17, 2008. More than 35 practitioners and trainees participated! Thank you!
